Idea to Deployment with AI: The Bricks MCP Workflow, Start to Finish
Go from idea to a live website with Bricks Builder and AI. Connect Bricks MCP, build with your design system, and deploy safely to production.
What you'll learn
If you build with Bricks Builder, you chose it for a reason. Clean code. Fast sites. Real control over every class and every pixel.
So when people say "let AI build your website," you are right to be skeptical.
Most AI website tools give you something that looks fine in a screenshot and falls apart the moment you open it.
Random class names. Inline styles everywhere. A structure you would never build yourself.
Bricks just changed that.
With Bricks 2.4, your Bricks site can talk directly to AI tools like Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor through MCP.
The AI does not paste in junk HTML.
It builds with native Bricks elements, your global classes and your variables, the same way you would.
But there is a catch.
Bricks itself calls this feature experimental and says to keep it off production sites.
Which leaves most people stuck at a fun demo, with no idea how to get from that demo to a real, live client website.
That is exactly what this course is about.
From idea to deployment.
You will start with nothing but an idea. You will turn it into a proper brief, a sitemap, and a page plan that AI can actually follow.
Then you will connect your AI client to a local copy of your Bricks site, step by step.
No assumptions, no skipped steps, and a dedicated AI user so the agent can never touch more than it should.
From there, you will have AI set up your design system first. Colors, typography, spacing, variables, global classes.
Because a page is only as clean as the system underneath it.
Then you will build the site.
Pages, header, footer, templates, a blog powered by query loops and dynamic data.
AI does the heavy lifting. You review, refine, and make it yours in the builder you already know.
You will also learn the part nobody shows you: how to check AI's work.
How to catch duplicate classes, fix layout drift, and keep the structure clean, so what you ship is something you would put your name on.
And you will not stop at a local site.
You will take the finished website live, on a real domain, and lock down the AI connection before it ever touches production.
And you will not just learn the ideas.
You will build and launch one complete, real-world website from start to finish. The kind of site a client would pay for.
By the end of this course, AI will not feel like a gimmick or a risk.
It will feel like the fastest, most reliable teammate you have ever had on a Bricks project.
Note: This course uses Brick's official, built-in AI Abilities (the native Bricks MCP connection), not a third-party plugin.
New here? A few quick terms
MCP (Model Context Protocol): A standard way for an AI tool to connect to other software. Think of it as a secure cable between your AI assistant and your Bricks site.
Bricks AI Abilities: The actions Bricks lets an AI perform on your site, like creating a page, adding a global class, or setting up a query loop. You choose which ones are switched on.
AI client: The app you talk to, such as Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor. It sends your instructions to Bricks through MCP.
Bricks skills: Optional instructions that teach your AI client how to work the Bricks way, like checking your design system before adding anything new.
Application password: A separate password WordPress creates just for the AI connection. You can revoke it any time without touching your own login.
Local / staging site: A private copy of your website where you build and test before anything goes live.
Design system: Your site's shared colors, fonts, spacing, variables, and classes, so every page looks like it belongs.
Deployment: Moving your finished site to a real server and domain so the world can visit it.
